UNESCO launches a website on Natural Disaster Reduction

UNESCO has launched a new website providing information and links on disaster reduction promoting information and public awareness on risks.

The site includes existing educational resources, programmes,  projects and a database. It has been produced following one of the Natural Sciences strategic programme objectives: “Contributing to disaster preparedness and mitigation”.

The launching of the Natural Disaster Reduction website coincides with the 1st anniversary of the launching of the new platform of the Natural Sciences website (12 October 2007).
