Ireland participates in a number of earth science projects, including the study of the East African rift system, and the study of the Black Sea corridor. It is also contributing to a Hydrology for the Environment, Life and Policy programme (HELP) project in the transboundary Oona/Blackwater basin, which is shared with the United kingdom.
Below you can access the projects that are currently being implemented in the country within the framework of UNESCO’s Natural Sciences Sector.
