The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland cooperates with the Natural Sciences in many fields, especially that of water-related issues and earth sciences.

The University of Dundee, in Scotland, hosts a Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science operating under the auspices of UNESCO. Many Hydrology for the Environment, Life and Policy programme (HELP) projects have been implemented throughout the United Kingdom, and the country’s continued support of the World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) enabled the programme to increase its outreach in Africa.
