The country is covered by the UNESCO Cluster Office Doha, in Qatar.

The country is involved in several projects that aim to improve management and planning on a regional scale, such as the Reducing Earthquake Losses in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (RELEMR) programme. The purpose of this programme is assessing, evaluating and reducing expected earthquake losses in the region.
