Organizations that are carrying out activities, in connection with the celebration of the IOC 50th Anniversary, are encouraged to use the anniversary logos under the general conditions and procedures presented below.
The purpose of the procedure described below is to facilitate the use of the IOC 50th Anniversary logo in combination with the UNESCO logo and to specify the conditions and the procedures to be followed in the use of this combined logo.
The IOC 50th anniversary logo is available in different visuals and formats.
Instructions for use of IOC Anniversary logo:
We encourage widespread use of the IOC 50th anniversary logo by individuals and groups who organize or support IOC 50th anniversary activities. An "activity" is here understood to be an event, exhibit, performance, promotional product, print or electronic publication, or other creation intended to advance the aims of the IOC 50th Anniversary.
Instructions for use of the IOC / UNESCO Anniversary logo:
For activities of national and international scope that are organized in connection with and in support of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of IOC, the authorisation to use the Logo has to be obtained from the Secretariat of UNESCO. However, request for such an authorization should first to be submitted to the concerned National Commission for UNESCO - that is the National Commission(s) of the country in which the entity responsible for the activity is registered and of the country (countries) in which the activity takes palce.
Procedures for obtaining the IOC / UNESCO Anniversary logo for activities of international scope
Step 1. Contact the :National Commission for UNESCO in the concerned country to obtain a copy of the request form;
Step 2. Send back the completed request form to the National Commission for UNESCO. If the National Commission supports your request, it will forward the completed form to the UNESCO Secretariat with its recommendation;
Step 3. If the activity is granted the use of the Logo, the responsible organization will receive from UNESCO and authorization letter, as well as an electronic logo file (pdf format, vector, high resolution, etc.), a copy of the general conditions for the use, as well as a report form;
Step 4. Carry out the activity as planned;
Step 5. Complete and send the report form back to the UNESCO Secretariat and the National Commission for UNESCO within one month after the end of the activity.
