World Anti-Doping Code
The World Anti-Doping Code (the Code), unanimously adopted on 5 March 2003 by the 2nd World Conference on Doping in Sport in Copenhagen, sits at the heart of international efforts to remove doping from sport. It is the core document in the fight against doping in sport, providing the anti-doping policies, rules and regulations for all sport and anti-doping organizations.
World Anti-Doping Code

The International Convention against Doping in Sport was drafted to allow governments to give effect to the Code because governments cannot be direct parties to the Code. Governments are obliged to adopt appropriate measures at the national and international level are consistent with the principles of the Code. Accordingly, it is appended to the Convention for information purposes.

The World Anti-Doping Agency has initiated a Code consultation and review process, similar to that used in its development, which will conclude at the World Conference on Doping in Sport in Madrid, Spain, 15-17 November 2007.
