Berlin conference on Euro-Mediterranean Border Management
Organised by Heinrich Böll Stiftung, the Green political foundation, in cooperation with the Robert Bosch Foundation and the British Council, an international conference will take place in Berlin (Germany) from 19 to 20 May 2009, addressing the causes and the background for migratory movements in the Mediterranean and examining the issues relevant to European Union and North African border management.

The conference will seek to increase awareness of the political connections between migration, border security, human rights and development, with the aim to make relevant recommendations for a coherent approach of the European Union’s migration policy.

Simultaneous translation will be available in English, French and German.
