UNESCO Project on the International Migrants' Rights Convention

Short Description: In order to get a clear view on the possibilities for broad implementation of the Convention, UNESCO undertakes a series of country studies on the obstacles to the ratification of the Convention and on the political and social impacts of ratification.

UNESCO-IOM Migration Museums Initiative
Established in: 2006
Short Description: While coping with the influx of immigrants and the issue of integration of immigrant populations are topics frequently hitting the headlines, UNESCO and the IOM have decided to work together to promote exchange of information and experiences on the history of immigration and the memories of migrants, notably through helping to set up and develop museums in receiving countries.
