UNESCO Chair for teaching, research and human rights education, democracy and peace (1) established in 1995 at the University of Oran-Es Senia (Algeria)

 

Fields / Disciplines Disciplines related to human rights. Objectives To promote an integrated system of research, formation, information and documentation activities in the field of human rights, democracy and peace. To work out a study plan on humans right, democracy and peace to be used in the programs of the University as a contribution to the work in progress through a system of continuing education. To gradually develop a widened national system for continuing education in human rights, democracy and peace, including special programmes in human rights and democracy for the teaching staff of primary and secondary education establishments, as well as for the elected officials of national, governmental and municipal organizations, lawyers, soldiers, media etc. Host Institution University of Oran-Es Senia.
