Tentative List

A tentative list means a list of cultural property for which a Party to the Second Protocol intends to request the granting of enhanced protection. Conforming to article 11, paragraph 1 of the Second Protocol, each Party should submit such a list. However, a Party may request the granting of enhanced property for a cultural property which is not included on its tentative list.

This tentative list contains a brief description of the concerned cultural property. It is submitted to the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict through the Secretariat. Parties may amend their tentative lists as appropriate.
