UNESCO Chair in Informatics for the Humanities (133), established in 1994 at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics within the framework of ORBICOM (Lithuania).

Objectives

  • To promote advanced training and applications in the field of informatics for the humanities.
  • To explore new possibilities for the use of informatics in research in the humanities.
  • To disseminate information on educational, research methods and informatics tools for humanities on a sub-regional level in the Baltic countries.
