UNESCO Chair in Communication and International Development (55), established in 1994 at the University of Québec in Montréal within the framework of the ORBICOM Network (Canada).

Fields/Disciplines

Journalism ; Communication.

Objectives

  • To promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation activities in the field of communication.
  • Priority Axes : communication and international development;  training in journalism;  journalistic ethics;  national policies of information;  access to new technologies;  methods of expertises transfer.  Several other complementary axes can be added to it, like management of the medias;  communications law;  public relations and publicity.
