Science, Technology and Innovation

©UNESCO Amman

UNESCO assists its Member States in formulating their Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policies, strategies and plans, as well as in the reform of their science systems, by bringing to light policy options, supporting participatory policy formulation, and/or reviewing policies to improve science management at the national level.

In Jordan, the UNESCO Amman Office is employing a proven methodology in STI policy formulation to assist the Government of Jordan in developing a medium-term, needs-and-results-based Master Plan for STI for 2013-2017. This Plan aims to serve as a guide for the government, businesses, institutions and public organizations to strategically work towards developing the STI sector in Jordan.
