UNESCO Forum on Gender Equality
Held on a regular basis, the UNESCO Forum on Gender Equality series is organized by the Division for Gender Equality of the Bureau of Strategic Planning. The seminars focus on the achievements and challenges in the field of gender equality within UNESCO’s five fields of competence. The objective is to raise awareness of the Priority Gender Equality and to promote women’s empowerment and gender equality.
 
Melanne Verveer2.JPG Organized by the Division for Gender Equality of the Bureau of Strategic Planning (BSP/GE), the initiative is in line with the designation of “Gender Equality” as one of UNESCO’s two global priorities in the new Medium-Term Strategy for 2008-2013.

    This 5th Forum was held in the presence of H. Exc. Ms. Nimet ÇUBUKÇU, State Minister for Women and Family Affairs of Turkey. The session focused on the Status of Women in Turkey in the Last Decade
