UNESCO offices in Latin America and the Caribbean are working to provide high quality technical support to Member States, the education sector (especially teachers) and civil society partners at regional and national levels. The main elements of this activity include sexuality education, the prevention and mitigation of homophobic bullying -- both with a focus on teachers), and the integration and incorporation of lessons learned from HIV and sexuality education into other areas such as citizenship education, life skills, gender education, school health, and health literacy.
