Enhanced resilience and increased capacity in disaster risk reduction

X

Download

Risks from natural hazards are on the rise due to increasing vulnerability of human settlements and to global climate change. The integration of a culture of disaster resilience in all sectors of society is essential. Activities will contribute to adaptation to climate change promoting disaster risk reduction related to natural hazards. Capacity building at regional and country levels, including early warning systems, will be promoted and policy guidelines developed. The gender perspective and the role of youth in building a culture of disaster resilience will be strengthened.
