ADMINISTRATION TRANSITOIRE DES NATIONS UNIES AU TIMOR ORIENTAL
ATNUTO
Le 30 août 1999, la population du Timor oriental a entamé un processus devant la mener à l'indépendance en votant lors d'un scrutin au suffrage universel direct et à bulletin secret. L'ATNUTO a été établie pour administrer le territoire et exercer les pouvoirs législatif et exécutif durant la période de transition. L'ATNUTO travaille en étroite coopération avec la population du Timor oriental et la consulte régulièrement.
