It aims at equipping the participants with knowledge and skills on how to produce videos reflecting the use of video as a pedagogical tool for teacher development and reflective practices, in relation to 21st Century teaching and learning.
During the training, participants will be able to acquire basic skills in Video Camera use, learn how to capture good video footages and gain skills on basic video editing and script writing skills. Participants to this workshop will be drawn from 3 Teacher Training Institutes, namely Shimoni Core Primary College, Nakawa Vocational Training Institute and Kyambogo University in Uganda.
Videos have been identified as the other means of reflection by teachers and teacher educators as they provide a means of extending classroom activities to the conveniences of the learners as Open Education resources.
This workshop falls within the framework of the implementation of the CFIT Uganda Project on “Enhancing Teacher Education for Bridging the Education Quality Gap in Africa” and is part of UNESCO's support to the Ministry of Education and Sports in providing institutional capacity development, networking, and partnerships to support school-based continuous professional development in Uganda.
