XVII. Subsidiary Organs of the General Assembly

Rule 161
[see annex VI, para. 11 and annex VII, para. 7]

The General Assembly may establish such subsidiary organs as it deems necessary for the performance of its functions [Sentence reproducing textually a provision of the Charter (Art. 22)]. The rules relating to the procedure of committees of the General Assembly, as well as rules 45 and 60, shall apply to the procedure of any subsidiary organ unless the Assembly or the subsidiary organ decides otherwise.
