Newsletters are intended to provide a regular overview of UNESCO’s activities relating to a specific theme or issue, to disseminate information concerning projects, good practices, publications and programmes and to address the challenges of sustainable development as they relate to that issue.

Three free newsletters are currently produced by different divisions of the Natural Sciences Sector; they focus on the biosphere, water and oceans.
