Abuja

The UNESCO Multisectoral Regional office in Abuja made tremendous progress within its first year in all the programme sectors: Education; Natural Sciences; Cultural; Social and Human Sciences; and Communication and Information. We were able to reach out to the eight Member States: Benin; Cote d’Ivoire; Guinea; Ghana, Liberia; Nigeria; Sierra Leone and Togo to discuss priority areas of continued collaboration with UNESCO. We also worked to strengthen partnership with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) which also has its headquarters in Abuja.”
