The Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, OREALC/UNESCO Santiago, held the event “Promoting gender equality and equity in the Education 2030 agenda” on April 5th 2016.

The GEM Report Gender and Education for All 2000-2015: Achievements and Challenges, as well as the thematic report of the Third Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study (TERCE) Gender inequality in learning achievements in elementary education. What can TERCE tell us? were presented at the event, which was attended by the Minister of Education of Paraguay.  

Headed by representatives from OREALC/UNESCO Santiago and UN Women, the event finalized with a panel and a debate on gender-related activities in order to move forward towards the future commitments in the Education 2030 agenda.
