Background:
There are many young people in Antigua and Barbuda
who are desirous of setting up small businesses.
They have great ideas, but they find it difficult
to get the information they want to help them
realize their dreams. This information includes
who can help them write their business plans and
where they can get financing.
This website hopes to
provide all the necessary information, young people
will need to set up a business operation. It is
also hoped that young people will be empowered
and inspired by this site.
The name of the site is Youth
Pan de Move. The name reflects the energy
and potential young people possess. We hope that
this information will really help you to get Pan
de Move in setting up the business of your dreams.
Objectives:
- To provide assistance to young and prospective
entrepreneurs
- To assist young people
in using entrepreneurship as a tool for self-empowerment
- To help reduce poverty
and employment through entrepreneurship
Activities:
- Conduct an entrepreneurship seminar for at least
30 young people attending vocacional schools.
- Establish and maintain
an interactive website, which will serve as a
resource for young entrepreneurs.
- Undertake publicity and
promotional activities to include: newspaper features,
radio advertising (minimum 30 radio spots), one
sponsored radio talk show on entrepreneurship,
design and printing of a poster and a pamphlet,
design of a jingle for the website.
- Using questionnaires, evaluate
the impact of (a) the seminar by assessing the
entrepreneurship knowledge of the participants
before the start of the seminar and again three
months later and (b) the website to determine
its usefulness.
- Provide photographs and
at least 60 minutes video footage of the various
events and activities.

The website launch on Saturday was a huge sucess.
