Midi and Sound editing (pc)

The MIDI standard does not allow you to work directly with sounds. The program works with messages (commands) sent to a synthesis device. Different symbols, including musical notes, represent MIDI messages on the screen.

Audio editing of a sound usually consists of simple operations such as adjusting volume or cutting sound into several parts. A sound file, meaning a sound that is already digitized, is used for such manipulations.[Freeware/Shareware; Editing]
