New Voices, New Projects 2010, Paris - Call for propositions

Call for submissions in the fields of New Theatre, Movement, Film, Video and Mixed-Media

New Voices, New Projects has been created to unify the artistic community in a multicultural, multilingual and multimedia setting within the arts and entertainment fields.

The mission is to provide a platform for artists to exhibit and network innovative new projects already in development to an audience comprised of experts in the industry, as well as the broader international community.

A new work-in-progress will be presented each month, followed by a critical discussion and networking event.

Proposals will be considered by a committee of professional experts within the arts and entertainment milieu.

New Voices, New Projects is meant as a showcase of new talent and work, and it does not pay artists for these performances under any circumstances. Rather, we provide a venue for talented artists from all performance disciplines to test their new work out in front of an audience and receive critical feedback and exposure.

This project is located in a multimedia space in Paris, France.

New means of private funding, from major foundations to small companies, must be encouraged as supplementary sources of funds, particularly with a view to supporting the creation, the expression and the dissemination of contemporary works.
    - Parag. 19: Public and private funding sources are invited to respond favourably to requests made by artists in developing countries or countries in transition. UNESCO’s intervention is particularly necessary in order to identify and publicize existing opportunities for private funding of the arts worldwide.
