With one site inscribed on the World Heritage List, Bahrain has demonstrated great interest in issues related to safeguarding heritage. Its Tentative List comprises three cultural sites and one natural site.
The country also promotes Arabic literature in the region, through the Kitab Fi Jarida project undertaken in conjunction with the Arabia Plan programme.
