2009 Shenzhen International Design Forum

Shenzhen is holding the 11th “China National Fine Arts Exhibition – Design Art” on 11th October, 2009. The 2009 Shenzhen International Design Forum, the cardinal section of the Exhibition, will be held on the same day by the Shenzhen Creative Culture Center, with the theme “Shared Value- Future of Design in Globalization”, as a special project of the development of Shenzhen UNESCO City of Design.

The most famous Chinese designers, researchers and experts in the fields of graphic design, industrial design, fashion and environmental art are invited, as well as those from other countries. Representatives from the other five UNESCO Cities of Design will also participate.

The “China National Fine Arts Exhibition”, held every five years in China and organized by the Culture Ministry of the People’s Republic of China and the China Artists Association, is the most prestigious exhibition of its kind in the country with the largest number of participants. The exhibition “Design Art”, one of the most important sections of the “China National Fine Arts Exhibition”, will be the biggest art show to be held in Shenzhen after its nomination as UNESCO City of Design, with works contributed by designers from throughout China.
