UNESCO Chair on inclusion in higher education (859), established in 2009 at the University of Santiago de Chile (Chile)

 

Fields / Disciplines Inclusive education, higher education. Objectives The specific objectives of this Chair are to: generate knowledge that allows the design of public policies on higher education inclusion through research, training, information gathering and documentation of good practices related to academically talented disadvantage youth; elaborate an official registry of all existing inclusion initiatives implemented both in Chilean and in foreign universities; conduct research and scientifically validate existing higher education inclusion initiatives; facilitate the exchange of best practices among universities through networking activities; and promote inclusion in Chilean and foreign universities where no such initiatives are in place.
