Iniciativa del Pacto Mundial (1999/2000)

  • Nuevos fundamentos: el propio sector empresarial se convierte en el principal impulsor del desarrollo; al sistema de las Naciones Unidas le corresponde facilitar directrices, orientaciones y facilidades al sector privado.

  • Las alianzas deben movilizar “el propio interés esclarecido” del sector empresarial en favor de los objetivos de las Naciones Unidas.
