NewsForum of Ministers: Private Sector’s Social Responsibility in the Arab States 2008-11-07 8:00 am UNESCO
22 Ministers of Social Development from the Arab States met in Amman, Jordan, from 12 to 14 November 2008. At the invitation of their Jordanian counterpart and the UNESCO Management of Social Transformations Programme (MOST), they attempted to identify and set up a common vision and the most appropriate means for coordinating their social policies.

After Latin America, Southern Africa, West Africa and Asia, it was the turn of the Maghreb Region, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon to have a Forum of Ministers for Social Development. On the initiative of Morocco’s Minister for Social Development, the Family and Solidarity, the Forum was officially launched during a meeting in Marrakech, Morocco, from 30 April to 1 May 2007.
