International Symposium on Implementing Sexuality Education

UNAIDS IATT on Education to convene an international symposium on implementing sexuality education.

International Symposium on Implementing Sexuality Education

To address the significant gap in essential HIV knowledge among young people, the UNAIDS Inter-Agency Task Team on Education is to convene a one-day international symposium on 27 April 2011 in New York.

Organized by UNESCO, this symposium will review the situation of school-based sexuality education in selected countries, release the findings of a ground-breaking international study on the cost and cost-effectiveness of comprehensive sexuality education, and identify areas of collaboration and ways forward for international actors in HIV and education.
