In recognition of the evolving domain of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), UNESCO, with UN and other partners, has embarked on a multi-phase process of reviewing and updating the content of the the International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education (ITGSE): An evidence-informed approach for schools, teachers and health educators (ITGSE), in order to respond to the contemporary needs of young learners, to reflect new evidence and to provide support for education systems and practitioners in addressing those needs.
To advance this work, UNESCO is currently inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for the following two consultancies:
1. Consultancy for a Technical Writer to update the ITGSE, open to individuals who may email their expressions of interest to j.babb@unesco.org, with copy to se.pillado@unesco.org, according to the specifications in the TOR below.
2. Consultancy for a Sexuality Education Expert (curriculum and/or child development), open to individuals and organizations, who should submit separate Technical and Financial Proposals to aids@unesco.org, according to the specifications in the Request for Proposal (RFP) below. Interested applicants are encouraged to carefully review all parts of the RFP solicitation documents, which are standard to UNESCO, noting in particular the content of Annex III, TOR, on pg 12.
The deadline for submissions of proposals for both consultancies is 7 February, 2017, midnight (CEST).
