Education 2030 Logo

The adoption of the 2030 Agenda is an opportunity to revitalize and redefine the E-9 network. This will be the main objective of the next Ministerial meeting in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 5-7 February, 2017.

This is the first meeting of E-9 countries since the adoption of Sustainable Development Goal 4 - Education 2030. While the focus of E-9 collaboration goes beyond literacy and can be reconsidered in the light of the more comprehensive goal of Education 2030, literacy has not yet been achieved in most E-9 countries. Education 2030 provides the opportunity for E-9 countries to adjust themselves to the priorities of the new agenda, which in turn will help bridge the gaps in achieving the literacy goal in these countries.
