Inauguration of the project Train my generation center in Lambaréné

As a result of the partnership between UNESCO and the mobile phone company AIRTEL Gabon SA, the program "Former Ma Génération - Gabon 5000" aims to train more than 5,000 Gabonese and Gabonese young people in information and communication technologies For a period of 3 years. The program has 4 components:
• Computer-based training;
• Educational support through distance learning (E-learning);
• Support for youth entrepreneurship;
• Business support through training grants in specialized fields.



The signing of the fund agreement took place on 16 October 2014 in Paris at the UNESCO headquarters, between Mr Olivier-Hervé NJANPOUM and Mrs Irina BOKOVA, respectively Director General of AIRTEL Gabon and Director-General of UNESCO.

For its implementation, it foresees the creation of 11 centers in the main cities of Gabon including that of Lambaréné which was established in the Lycée Charles MEFANE high school.

The creation of a center is done by setting up technical training platforms based on a fleet of at least 24 computers with the necessary programs and accessories.
