Call for proposals: Evaluation of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity

UNESCO launches a call for external independent evaluation firms/entities to assess the implementation of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) and to produce a final external evaluation report.

The evaluation report’s aim is to assess the progress made towards supporting the implementation of the 2005 Convention and the emergence of dynamic cultural sectors in developing countries that are Parties to the Convention.

The IFCD became operational in 2010. Since then, 90 projects in 51 developing and least developed countries have been funded up to US$ 100,000 per project.

The 2017 evaluation shall assess progress made on the implementation of recommendations by the first evaluation in 2012, identify lessons learned and make further recommendations that will inform the future governance and implementation of the IFCD.

The evaluation is expected to start on 1 March 2017. The final report must be delivered by 15 September 2017.

Interested firms/entities are invited to read the evaluation Terms of Reference and submit their proposals by 15 February 2017, noon (Paris time), by email.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted by UNESCO.
