    This is a report of an informal consultation that was convened in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1998. The purpose of the meeting was to provide an update on recent studies and current knowledge regarding female condoms and to share information on planning, launching and promoting female condoms. It also reviews draft material on female condom promotion and recommends directions for effective, extensive and timely introduction and promotion of female condoms.
