For this review, programs addressing both adult and adolescent populations were eligible for inclusion and an effort was made to identify programs that involved men.

Se analizan las regulaciones legales sobre juventud, VIH/sida y migración. This report reviews literature on population migration and HIV/AIDS in a selected number of French-speaking countries in West Africa. It points to a higher prevalence rate among some migrants groups. Socio-cultural, economic and behavioral factors (e.g., breakdown of social norms, prostitution, lack of awareness about STDs and AIDS)are discussed as factors contributing to the spread of HIV within migrating populations.
