It is manifested in many different ways and fear of disgrace prevents people from coming forward for HIV testing and treatment. 2. Radio drama programs promoting HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention education (in Wa)

   The "Forever-Gone Moon" and the "Who is the True Friend"; are two radio dramas in Wa language produced and broadcast in Lincang city, Yunnan using a cultural approach to HIV prevention education targeting ethnic minority communities. The two stories aim at educating Wa people - particularly young people who leave their hometown for a living - about HIV awareness, how to protect themselves from HIV, and non-discrimination towards HIV affected people in the community.
