  1. Integration works! A guide to facilitating a workshop on integrating sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV

The goal of this facilitator’s guide on HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) integration is to present a four-day workshop to develop a common understanding on how to integrate HIV and SRHR in order to improve the response of Alliance programmes to HIV. The guide is to be used hand in hand with the Alliance Good Practice Guide: Integration of HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

  2. Women out loud: How women living with HIV will help the world end AIDS

Women may make up half the world’s population, but they do not share it equally. This is especially evident when it comes to HIV. Half of all people living with HIV are women, yet many are underserved or do not know their status. Despite the many successes we have seen, women still face inequalities that will keep the AIDS response from reaching its full potential.

  3. More funding needed for international reproductive health

The international community has repeatedly recognized the importance of achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive health, with reinvigorated efforts in 2010. 4. Global health advocacy: manual

The manual contains guidance for writing letters to representatives, scripts for making phone calls to them, and directions for arranging and completing face-to-face meetings, as well as other advocacy techniques that the Global Health Council uses to positively affect change in policies that promote global health. Key issues for advocacy include women's health, children's health, HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, and emerging threats.

  5. An evaluation of 'POLICY' advocacy manual : networking for policy change

The report is a result of an evaluation study of "The Networking for Policy Change: an Advocacy Training Manual" published by the POLICY Project in October 1999 which was widely used by POLICY staff, trainers, and partners in more than 25 countries, as well as by donors, cooperating agencies (CAs), and development projects throughout the world. The study evaluated the manual's use, the usefulness and relevance of training conducted with the manual, and the qualitative and quantitative impacts attributed, in part, to putting the acquired advocacy skills into practice. …

  6. Moments in time: HIV/AIDS advocacy stories

This collection of stories highlights some of the key advocacy moments of our time as told from the unique perspective of those who are engaged in advocacy work in communities around the world. In all, 16 different advocacy organizations are profiled in this manual. Although the stories focus on HIV/AIDS, the advocacy models are applicable to other settings and other issues. The selected advocacy stories are those working within and among the following constituent groups: women, people living with HIV/AIDS, and faith-based organizations. …
