For more than 30 years, one man has single-handedly taken on a
unique challenge: tracking down, archiving and performing all the
pieces of music written and composed in the camps of the
Second World War. The gripping quest has been turned into a film
about history, like a journey through time to overcome oblivion, to...
preserve the memory of these women and men, of all nationalities
and all confessions, who turned music into an act of resistance.

At local level, radio stations’ correspondents are the direct link between the station and the community, gathering news, getting testimonies and investigating stories out in the field.

Providing them with ICT skills is a foolproof way to produce higher quality programmes and improve interaction with the audience.

Thanks to UNESCO’s “Empowering Local Radio with ICTs” project, supported by Sweden, Ssozi Edward, correspondent at Nakaseke Radio in Uganda, says: “My skills have ...doubled. I did not know how to write a radio script but now I am well equipped and confident to go to the field to interview farmers.”
