Regional Programme to Enhance Co-operation among National Development Information Systems and Networks in Latin America and the Caribbean
INFOLAC was established in 1986 by a resolution of the XXIII General Conference of UNESCO.
INFOLAC is a forum for the exchange of expertise and experiences in the area of information services. It is open to all public, private or professional institutions, which are involved in the provision of information services in the region.
An inter-governmental forum, INFOLAC's membership is open to all Latin American and Caribbean States, which are members of UNESCO; they can be represented by their respective national information authorities.
