History

13 Oct 1843, New York NY (USA), as a (US national) Jewish service organization. Internationalized 28 May 1959, Jerusalem (Israel), on setting up of the now defunct International Council of B'nai B'rith (ICBB) -- Conseil international B'nai B'rith.

Aims

Unite persons of Jewish faith and enhance Jewish identity through strengthening Jewish family life and education and training of youth, broad-based services for the benefit of senior citizens and advocacy and action on behalf of Jews throughout the world; work on security and continuity of the Jewish people and the State of Israel; defend human rights; combat anti-semitism, bigotry and ignorance.
