UNESCO is lending support to Burundi in its « Writing Burundi history » project which is intended to foster peaceful coexistence and the rebuilding process and to inform people at home and abroad of the country’s true history. The preparatory work is well advanced with the scientific and coordinating committees in place, the authors selected and the chapters planned. The authorities are at present seeking to identify funds with the aid of UNESCO.
