Côte d’Ivoire has three natural sites inscribed on the World Heritage List, two of which are on the List of World Heritage in Danger.

The Trompettes Gbofe d’Afounkaha have been proclaimed as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, and a plan for their preservation implemented.

The intercultural dialogue is taking material form through the organization of cultural tourism along the Slave Route in Africa.

The country attaches particular importance to the cultural approach to HIV and AIDS prevention and care.

In the area of arts and creativity, Côte d’Ivoire receives support from UNESCO to host the African Market of Performing Arts (MASA) and to create a centre of professional excellence in the field of music.
