Guinea-Bissau

Culture

    Guinea-Bissau ratified the World Heritage Convention in 2006 and has proposed a natural site on its Tentative List with a view to an inscription of the World Heritage List.

    Its participation in the Slave Route project indicates that the country is committed to regional cooperation aimed at making an inventory of the sites, collecting objects, mapping routes and listing documentary sources for the slave trade and slavery.
