Culture

    Niue receives support from the Action plan developed as part of the Pacific 2009 Programme for the implementation of the World Heritage Convention, which it ratified in 2001.

    Professionals involved in the country's cultural and natural heritage received technical training in preparing inscription files for sites recommended for the World Heritage List.

    In the framework of the Action Programme for the Sustainable Development of Small Developing Island States, Niue and UNESCO have worked together to strength the country's linguistic and cultural resources.
