Kenya has one cultural site and two natural sites on the World Heritage List. Intercultural dialogue is another area of cooperation between UNESCO and Kenya.

In the framework of the joint UNESCO-WTO programme for cultural tourism on the Slave Route, Kenya is involved in the listing of sites and places of memory associated with the slave trade. It also collaborates on a project aimed at strenghtening interreligious women's associations.
