Teachers and students from ASPnet schools in some 16 countries participating in the Great Volga River Route Crosscutting Project will attend this Youth Forum. The aim of the Forum is to: help them develop their awareness and knowledge about World Heritage, Sustainable Development and their cultural implications; enable teachers to develop and implement an intercultural approach of World Heritage and Sustainable Development; allow students to learn more about other cultures and respect cultural diversity and increase awareness of the impact of culture on values and life styles relating to sustainable development. The potential of using ICT educational material in education for World Heritage and Sustainable Development will also be highlighted.

The Youth Forum is part of an Intersectoral Project involving ED/PEQ/ASP, ED/PEQ/ESD, CLT/WHC/PPE, CLT/ACE/ACD, CI/FED, SC/ECO and the UNESCO Office in Moscow, and is organized with the help of the National Board of Education in Finland.
