Fulfilling the primary UNESCO mandate of promoting peace and the right to education, the UNESCO Office for the Pacific States - Education Sector, in partnership with Pacific National Comissions for UNESCO, UN sister agencies, regional organisations and civil society will continue to base and focus its specific line of work on assisting Pacific Member States, in the achievement of Education for All (EFA), EFA Mid-Decade Assessment (MDA) and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015.
