Preparatory experts meeting - Sixth International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS VI)

This informal meeting of governmental and non-governmental experts will inform the working and outcome documents of MINEPS VI with respect to Theme I "Developing a comprehensive vision of inclusive access for all".
The meeting will take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris (Room IX), on 16 January 2017.
UNESCO organizes this international experts meeting in partnership with the International Council of Sport Sciences and Physical Education (ICSSPE).
Experts are invited
(i) to make suggestions concerning the sport policy follow-up framework to be presented at MINEPS VI;
(ii) to identify progress made since MINEPS V (2013) in terms of norms, tools, indicators, promotion/advocacy and research;
(iii) identify relevant gaps and propose international action to which MINEPS VI should commit.
The theme I includes the following sub-topics:
(i) alignment with overall development priorities;
(ii) multi-stakeholder partnership and governance;
(iii) gender equality;
(iv) quality physical education;
(v) fight against all forms of discrimination.
